Challenge

The Harrisonburg Rockingham African American Festival, a vital community event, faced a significant challenge: a lack of awareness surrounding their annual festival. With limited visibility, there was growing concern about the future sustainability of the event. Without increased exposure, the festival risked losing its ability to reach new audiences and grow, potentially limiting its long-term viability. To solve this challenge, we collaborated closely with the festival organizers to create custom event coverage materials aimed at boosting visibility and awareness. We produced an engaging commercial and a recap video that captured the event’s vibrant energy while showcasing its powerful impact on the community. Along with the videos, we designed a custom graphic for the festival’s banner, giving it a cohesive, professional look for use across various marketing platforms. Lastly, we captured live photographs during the event, providing a high-quality visual library that the festival can utilize for future promotions, social media, and marketing campaigns.
