Resident Testimonials Showcase Sunnyside Communities
From the Client
“Whenever someone asks me who I recommend for high quality video production in the Valley and beyond, my answer is always Appeal. Always and only.”
— Erica Turman, Director of Corporate Communications at Sunnyside Communities
Challenge
Sunnyside Communities wanted to showcase the experiences, lifestyles, and personal stories of residents across its communities. While written materials could communicate information about the organization, they couldn’t fully capture the people, relationships, and everyday experiences that make each community special.
Sunnyside needed a more engaging way to help families, prospective residents, and other audiences understand the resident experience. Authentic resident testimonials offered an opportunity to share firsthand perspectives, highlight what makes each community meaningful, and give audiences a more personal connection to Sunnyside.
Solution
We created a resident testimonial video that showcases Sunnyside Communities through the voices and perspectives of its residents.
Rather than relying solely on written descriptions, the video uses personal storytelling to help audiences connect with the people who call Sunnyside home. By centering residents and their experiences, the approach offers an authentic look at the community and what makes it meaningful to those who live there.
The testimonial format gives residents the opportunity to share their perspectives in their own words, creating a personal and approachable way for Sunnyside to communicate its community culture and lifestyle to prospective residents and their families.
The finished video provides Sunnyside with a visual storytelling asset that complements its existing marketing materials and helps audiences better understand the resident experience.
Results
The resident testimonial video gives Sunnyside Communities a way to share firsthand perspectives and offer audiences a more personal understanding of its communities.
By putting residents at the center of the story, the video communicates the experiences and sense of community that written materials alone cannot fully convey. It provides Sunnyside with content to support its broader communications and outreach efforts, helping prospective residents and families connect with the community through authentic resident voices.
The project also reflects the value of a trusted creative partnership. Erica Turman, Sunnyside’s Director of Corporate Communications, described Appeal Production as her top recommendation for high-quality video production in the Valley and beyond.
Ultimately, the project demonstrates how resident storytelling can communicate a community’s character, culture, and resident experience through video.
