3 Ways to Incorporate Video into Your 2025 Marketing Strategy
Plan Out Your 2025 Marketing Strategy
With the new year on the horizon, it’s time to start thinking about your 2025 marketing strategy.
Here at Appeal, we believe in the power of video to help your business fight the noise. We’ve seen firsthand how video marketing has boosted our clients’ visibility.
According to Wyzowl’s most recent survey of marketing professionals and online consumers:
- 82% of people have been convinced to buy a product or service by watching a video.
- 90% of marketers say video marketing has given them a good ROI.
- 89% of consumers said they wanted to see more videos from brands in 2024.
It’s clear that video is effective and that consumers want more of it. But how does it fit into your marketing strategy? Here are a few strategies to consider as you think about how to incorporate video into your 2025 marketing plan:
1. Boost Your Social Media Presence with Video
Video has become an increasingly important aspect of social media marketing in recent years, and it could be a tool to help you reach more people in 2025.
Vertical video, typically with a 9:16 aspect ratio, has gained immense popularity thanks to the dominance of smartphones and social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok. On these platforms, short-form video dominates the user experience. According to Sprout Social, 81% of consumers said they wanted to see more short-form videos from brands in 2024.
Now, while short-form vertical video is king on many platforms, horizontal video remains especially relevant if you’re active on platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Shooting a company video in late 2024 or early 2025 could help you generate a library of professional footage that can be shared in a variety of ways and on your social media channels throughout the entire year. We work with our clients to plan and capture a combination of vertical and horizontal video, depending on how they plan to use the content for social media.
2. Improve Your Website with Video
Are you planning website updates for 2025? Adding video to your website is a great way to improve its performance in search results because it can create a more engaging experience for visitors.
A study conducted by Wistia showed that people spend 2.6x more time on website pages with video compared to those without.
In addition to boosting your site’s engagement rate, video can also boost your site’s search engine optimization (SEO)–meaning you’ll rank higher in search results. “Websites see a search engine boost when they add video because it increases page quality and the time visitors spend on the page.” (Hubspot)
Finally, your website is also a great place to strategically house longer-form video. Another Hubspot article states, “Videos that run over five minutes often see higher conversion rates.” This is because longer videos can engage viewers on a deeper level, which, in turn, makes them more likely to take action.
3. Use Video to Train and Explain
Training and explainer videos could also help your business grow in 2025.
We’ve worked with dozens of manufacturers to create a more standardized, streamlined way to train new employees. It turns out, video is the perfect tool for it.
Explainer videos are another valuable tool for businesses that need help communicating the nuances of their product or service.
According to Hubspot, “96% of people say they watch explainer videos to learn more about a product, and 89% report having been swayed to purchase.”
Hopefully, this article got you thinking about how video can help you in 2025. However, we understand that lack of time is the primary reason marketers don’t pursue video. (In fact, according to Wyzowl, a third of marketers who don’t use video say it’s because they don’t have enough time!)
